The process
From ground to table in seven steps.
01
Clay
Wedged by hand until the air is out and the body moves evenly.
02
Form
One pull on the wheel. The first attempt is usually the honest one.
03
Rhythm
Repetition rather than force. The clay is allowed to find the shape.

Drying
Slow, under cloth, so the walls settle without stress.
05
Glazing
Dipped, poured, wiped back at the rim and foot.
06
Firing
Packed tight, taken up slowly, then left to cool for days.
07
Object
Sanded, checked, wrapped, and sent to be used.
Limited editions
Kiln archive
Wood-fired pieces from a single kiln opening. Once these are gone the glaze cannot be repeated — the ash decides where it lands.
